Police on Saturday informed that all the 10 bodies of workers who were buried under the debris at a tunnel in Ramban have been retrieved.
The operation continued from Thursday late evening till Saturday evening only after which all the 10 bodies were recovered from the tunnel site that witnessed landslide. Only two workers belonged to J&K and rest were all migrants from other states and two from Nepal.
SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma informed the media that the operation will be called off soon as all the bodies have been recovered. The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was already thrown open for traffic.
Police have also filed an FIR against the company executing the work on the tunnel for negligence. However the administration and police have not launched a probe to know the exact cause of the incident. It has been learnt that NHAI may start a probe to know the causes of incident.
