- Local police chief says incorrect drive-thru order is not police matter.
A woman in the United States reached out to the police, claiming that she had received fewer pieces of chicken from a popular food outlet than she had paid for, NDTV reported.
The woman called the US emergency services by dialling 911. She said she required help “getting all her chicken”.
Reportedly, she told the dispatcher: “I only got four pieces of chicken and I want my chicken.” The operator tried to explain to the complainant that her request could not be carried out as it was a civil matter, not a criminal one.
“There is not much the police can do about it,” the dispatcher responded.
Despite that, an officer was sent to her location but she was not to be found.
The local police chief from Cleveland said, “While we are here to serve the public an incorrect drive-thru order is not a police matter.”
